INDO-US Symposium on Molecular Virology
Under a program of Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Giri lab is organizing a symposium on molecular virology. The well-known scientists are going to discuss the different aspects of virology and its molecular basis.
Giri Lab organized a One-day seminar on Emerging viral diseases: Focus on Zika Virus
The event was successfully concluded on October 10, 2019 where Prof. Indira Mysorekar from Washington University (St. Louis) gave her plenary lecture on "The Placenta as the front line defense against maternal fetal transmission: Lessons from the Zika Virus." In the series of lectures, Prof. Sidappa Byrareddy from University of Nebraska, USA, interacted with the audience through his talk on "Host-virus pathogenesis of Zika Virus." Following this, Dr. Giri gave a detailed insight on protein folding and drug discovery against Zika virus proteins.
